Privacy Policy & Terms of Use

1. General information

ScaleModel.gr ("we", "the site") is an independent, hobbyist website dedicated to static scale modelling. We collect and present publicly available articles from selected RSS sources, in order to help our visitors stay informed.

Using the site implies acceptance of the terms below. If you do not agree with them, please do not use the site.

2. Third-party content & copyright

The articles, titles, descriptions and images shown on ScaleModel.gr are not our own content. They come automatically from third-party RSS feeds (such as The Modelling News, Panzerserra, Sprue Pie and others) and belong exclusively to their respective creators.

Every article card links directly to the original source. We do not reproduce full content — only the title, a short summary, and a preview image, as is common practice for news aggregators.

If you hold rights to content shown here and would like it removed, please contact us and we will respond promptly.

3. What data we collect

ScaleModel.gr uses Google Analytics 4 to understand how visitors use our site (pages viewed, time on site, country of origin). This data is anonymous and aggregated — we cannot identify individual users. Google may store cookies for this purpose, in accordance with Google's privacy policy. You can opt out via the Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on.

In addition:

• We do not use any other user-tracking systems.
• We do not build visitor profiles and we do not sell data to third parties.
• Our server may log basic technical data (IP address, request time) for security and abuse-prevention purposes — standard practice for any web server.

4. Cookies & local storage

The site uses your browser's local storage (not cookies) solely to remember your language preference (Greek / English) between visits. This information stays on your own device and is never transmitted anywhere.

5. Contact form

When you use the contact form, the details you submit (name, email, message) are sent directly by email to the site administrator, solely for the purpose of replying to your request. They are not stored in a database and are not used for any other purpose. The form includes protection against automated (spam) submissions.

6. Advertising & sponsorships

ScaleModel.gr may display sponsored content from modelling retailers. Any such content is clearly marked. We are not responsible for the content, prices, or practices of advertised websites.

7. Third-party links & services

The site uses Google Fonts to render its typefaces. Loading fonts may involve minimal communication with Google's servers, in accordance with Google's privacy policy.

All external links to articles lead to third-party websites governed by their own privacy policies, for which we bear no responsibility.

8. Your rights

You have the right to:

• Request information about any data we hold about you.
• Request deletion of messages you have sent through the contact form.
• Contact us with any question regarding your privacy.

9. Limitation of liability

The content shown is pulled automatically from third-party sources and may contain inaccuracies beyond our control. ScaleModel.gr is provided "as is", without any warranty of accuracy, completeness, or availability.

10. Changes to this policy

We reserve the right to update this policy whenever necessary. The date of the last update is shown at the top of this page.
